Tripp Vinson, producer of “The Exorcism of Emily Rose” and “Journey 2,” brought “Terrestrial” to Lionsgate and will produce the movie. They are still working out the particulars of his deal, but, assuming it goes through, Lisa Zambri will also executive produce.
Vinson was one of a handful of top producers given an early peak at the script, and those producers then shopped it to Hollywood studios. The script first surfaced in Adam Rodin‘s annual trackingb.com feature contest, and Rodin, who will executive produce, developed the project with Gaffney and Energy Entertainment’s Brooklyn Weaver.
In addition to landing Gaffney a movie deal, it also earned him representation with UTA and Energy.
