Lionsgate announced Thursday that it has acquired the domestic distribution rights to "LOL," a coming-of-age comedy starring Miley Cyrus, Demi Moore and Ashley Greene.
Produced by Mandate Pictures, the film stars Cyrus as a high-school student who navigates the minefields of social networking and parental control.
"'LOL' is the kind of smart, fresh and accessible comedy that Mandate executes so well and is a film that I've been following for some time," said Alli Shearmur, president of production for Lionsgate. "It's a great fit for Lionsgate's release slate."
