Lindsay Lohan is taking a break from it all — and presumably giving the rest of the world a break from her.
The “Mean Girls” star, who grabbed headlines over the weekend by accusing her boyfriend, Egor Tarabasov, of cheating on her in a series of since-deleted social media messages, announced on Tuesday that she’s “taking time for myself.”
She also apologized for airing her personal dirty laundry in public.
“I am sorry that I’ve exposed certain private matters recently. I was acting out of fear and sadness,” Lohan wrote on Instagram. “We all make mistakes. Sadly mine have always been so public.

The occasional actress admitted that she “should have been more clear minded rather than distract from the good heart that I have.”
Lohan finished off her post by hinting at uncertainty in her future and once again alluding to her relationship.
“Maybe things can be fixed… Maybe not.. I hope they can,” she wrote. “But I am 30 years old and I do deserve a #GENTLEgiant Life is about love and light. Not anger.”
In a post over the weekend, Lohan posted a photo of the couple with Tarabasov’s face scribbled out.
Subsequent posts included the messages, “Wow thanks #fiance with Russian hooker @dasha_pa5h,” a reference to PA5H creative director Dasha Pashevkina, and “he cheated on me with hooker.”
On Sunday, British newspaper the Sun added fuel to the fire with a report that police had kicked in the door of Lohan’s apartment in London over the weekend, after she went to the balcony of her apartment and shouted, “He just strangled me. He almost killed me.”
