Lindsay Lohan has a little more time to consider whether to accept a plea bargain — but it would definitely include jail.
In a hearing Thursday, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Keith Schwartz gave Lohan until March 25 to plead either guilty or no contest, and said in open court that he has already told Lohan's lawyer and prosecutors what the jail term would be.
He asked them to keep the information quiet, and complained that outlets like TMZ are remarkably good at reporting facts that are not supposed to be released. He suggested more celebrity reporters work with the CIA.
Lohan, wearing a fitted cream colored dress — more conservative than her outfits in her last two court appearances — laughed along with the judge's joke.
If Lohan doesn't accept the plea deal, she will have a preliminary hearing before another judge, Stephanie Sautner, on April 22. Sautner is also handling Mel Gibson's case.
Lohan is out on bail on a felony grand theft charge. She is accused of stealing a $2,500 necklace.
