‘SNL’: Lindsay Lohan and Jimmy Fallon Recall ‘Debbie Downer’ Meltdown

Lohan left the sketch because she thought she would be in trouble for laughing

Remember Jimmy Fallon's reputation for laughing during "Saturday Night Live" skits? He talked about one of the sketches that helped him earn it when Lindsay Lohan visited "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" to talk about her "SNL" hosting gig this weekend.

It was the first "Debbie Downer" sketch, featuring Rachel Dratch as a woman whose oversharing and instant recall of incredibly depressing facts can ruin any occasion. In that 2004 sketch, it was a trip to Disneyland. Dratch's Debbie-isms had almost everyone in the sketch — including Fallon, Lohan, Horatio Sanz and Amy Poehler — laughing into their Mickey-Mouse-shaped waffles. (Fred Armisen somehow held it together.)

Lohan recalled that no one could keep a straight face even during dress rehearsal. She had to flee the stage at one point, she said, because she was afraid she would get in trouble for laughing.

No chance: The live "SNL" audience loves nothing more than watching the cast break up.

Lohan's "Late Night" visit wasn't all about recollecting: She also got Fallon to agree to come on "SNL" Saturday, when she hosts with musical guest Jack White. Will Fallon make it? Will he laugh?
