Sonar Entertainment and the London-based distributor Power announced the cast of "Air Force One Is Down," a four-hour television miniseries currently shooting in Luxembourg.
Based on a book by Scottish novelist Alistair MacLean, "Beauty and the Beast" actress Linda Hamilton will star as U.S. President Harriet Rowntree in the thriller about a sabotaged Air Force One crashing into the Mediterranean, where she is captured and held hostage by a Serbian strongman.
The film also stars "Law & Order's" Jeremy Sisto, "The Madness of King George" actress Amanda Donohoe, "Lost's" Emilie de Ravin, "V for Vendetta" actor Rupert Graves and Jamie Thomas King of recent "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy" fame.

"This is an exciting project for us," Power CEO Susan Waddell said in a statement. "'Air Force Once' and Alistair MacLean are both iconic brands with global appeal."
The project is being directed by Cilla Ware, who recently directed another project about another 20th century Scottish fiction writer, "The Strange Case of Sherlock Holmes & Arthur Conan Doyle."
