Lily Rabe is back in the habit.
The actress who played Sister Mary Eunice on FX’s “American Horror Story: Asylum” will reprise her role on the latest season of Ryan Murphy‘s anthology series, subtitled “Freak Show.”

Rabe has appeared in every season of “AHS” up to this one, but up until now has played different characters. She is scheduled to shoot her scenes this weekend and will appear in episode 10, which will serve as the winter cliffhanger.

The Sister Mary story line involves Pepper (Naomi Grossman), who also appeared in second season “Asylum,” and will be a prequel of sorts, showing how she went from Jupiter, Florida in the 1950s — where “Freak Show” is set — to Briarcliff, the Massachusetts insane asylum featured in “Asylum.”

Rabe’s return wasn’t the only big casting news out of the “American Horror Story” camp on Wednesday. Earlier in the afternoon TheWrap learned Neil Patrick Harris and his husband David Burtka were both cast to appear in the season’s final episodes.
ICM, Framework Entertainment and Independent Public Relations represent Rabe.
