“Life in Pieces” star Thomas Sadoski has been inspired by stories from his co-star James Brolin to the point that he wants to make a documentary about Brolin’s wife, legendary entertainer Barbara Streisand.
During a new installment of TheWrap’s “Drinking With the Stars” with Stuart Brazell, Sadoski said that Brolin shared stories about he and his wife road tripping in his truck and visiting various truck stops along the way.
“That’s all I want in the world,” Sadoski said. “I want to make the documentary of Barbara going to a Cracker Barrel.”
Sadoski also said that “Life in Pieces” has become a much tighter show as its first season has continued as cast and crew become more comfortable with each other.
“As our writers get used to writing for us, as we get used to their sensibility, it’s just the way of things,” he said. “Everything just starts to gel.”
He went on to say that he feels the media has failed to recognize the writing prowess of series creator Justin Adler and the show’s writing staff. “Those guys deserve a lot of credit and they deserve to be celebrated for what they’ve done because it’s amazing,” he said.
“Life in Pieces” airs Thursdays at 8:30 p.m./7:30c on CBS.
