In an exclusive clip from “Family Guy’s” 250th episode, Peter Griffin finds himself at the mercy of “Taken” star Liam Neeson (who lends his voice to the episode).
Neeson bails Peter out of jail after he hears that Peter has been running his mouth all over Quahog, saying he could beat Neeson in a fight.
Neeson is more than happy to put Peter’s claim to the test. Peter says, “Mr. Neeson, you heard wrong. There’s nobody who respects you more than I do.” Peter then tries to bust Neeson’s face with a metal lunch tray. Bad idea.
Also in the landmark episode, Stewie becomes jealous when Lois decides to be a class mom and starts paying more attention to the other kids over him.
“Family Guy,” the brainchild of Seth MacFarlane, began airing on Fox in 1999 but was canceled in 2002. The show then went into reruns on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim late night lineup, where it quickly became the programming block’s top rated program.
It’s popularity and stellar DVD sales led Fox to bring the series back in 2005. It has helped anchor Fox’s Sunday night Animation Domination programming, along with the network’s signature animated comedy “The Simpsons.”
The series has inspired one spin-off to date, “The Cleveland Show,” as well as helping to launch “American Dad,” another MacFarlane series.
“Fighting Irish,” the 250th episode of “Family Guy,” airs May 3 at 9:00pm ET/PT on Fox.
