Warner Bros. has dropped the first look at Paul Thomas Anderson’s next film “One Battle After Another,” with a curious teaser trailer showing Leonardo DiCaprio in action. The full trailer will be released next week, but this serves as an introduction to PTA’s 10th film and his first collaboration with DiCaprio.
Plot details are under wraps but the movie is rumored to be inspired by Thomas Pynchon’s “Vineland,” which took place in the 1980s during the Reagan administration and followed the culture clash between free spirits and the War on Drugs.
The ensemble cast for the Warner Bros. film includes Benicio del Toro, Sean Penn, Regina Hall, Teyana Taylor, Wood Harris, Alana Haim and Chase Infiniti.
This is Anderson’s biggest production yet and comes four years after his intimate romantic comedy “Licorice Pizza.” Perhaps we’ll get a better sense of the story with next week’s trailer, but for now this teaser is certainly tantalizing.
Watch the teaser below. “One Battle After Another” will be released in theaters and Imax on Sept. 26, 2025.
