Looks as though 20th Century Fox won’t be giving those “Fantastic Four” rights back to Marvel anytime soon.
“Legion” showrunner Noah Hawley is working on a movie about iconic “Fantastic Four” villain Doctor Doom and teased the project Thursday during his FX show’s panel in Ballroom 20 at Comic-Con in San Diego.
Hawley said he’s working on a new movie for Fox — which also owns the rights to “X-Men” characters like those featured on “Legion” — that he believed fans will like.
“Two words,” he said. “Doctor Doom.”
The studio has been feverishly developing its rights to other Marvel properties. In late June, Fox dated six Marvel to span the next two years, not including “X-Men: Dark Phoenix,” “Deadpool 2,” and the new X-Men spin-off, “New Mutants.”
