Carlos Sanchez has joined Legendary Television as vice president, distribution for Latin America, the media company announced Wednesday.
A former Warner Bros. Digital Distribution executive, Sanchez will oversee Legendary’s distribution of television and digital content for Latin American and U.S. Hispanic. He’ll report to Legendary’s President of Worldwide Distribution, Michael Grindon.
Sanchez will be based out of Legendary’s Burbank office.
Sanchez joins Legendary’s team with more than a decade of experience in Latin America’s film and TV industry. Under Warner Bros., he helped grow the company’s Latin America digital distribution by more than 5,000% in two years.
“Legendary has developed a rapidly growing television and digital division. Carlos’s wealth of knowledge and expertise in Latin America’s film and TV industry will be a key part of expanding that business beyond the US and Europe and further establishing our distribution platform in the marketplace,” Grindon said in a statement.
While at Warner Bros., Sanchez also worked as the Regional Marketing Director for the Warner Home Video Division, overseeing marketing plans for Latin America, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
Sanchez is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles, and received his masters in Pacific International Affairs from the University of California, San Diego.
