Alana de la Garza is getting back with Dick Wolf in his potential “FBI” spinoff.
The actress, who starred on Wolf’s “Law & Order” for its final four seasons and appeared in a handful of other shows in the same franchise, has booked a starring role in the backdoor pilot for “FBI: Most Wanted,” The Wrap has confirmed.
De la Garza will play A.S.A.C. (Assistant Special Agent in Charge) Isobel Castille, a fugitive squad supervisor, polished and focused. The West Point graduate had a brief stint in Silicon Valley. She’s a rising star who shuns politics and is a guided missile in the field, per the character description.
A potential spinoff of the freshman CBS drama “FBI,” “Most Wanted” centers on the division of the FBI tasked with tracking and capturing the notorious criminals on the FBI’s Most Wanted list. A backdoor pilot is set to air later this spring.
De la Garza joins “Nip/Tuck” alum Julian McMahon and Keisha Castle-Hughes in the potential series. She is repped by SBD Partners.
Wolf will write the script with Rene Balcer, with Arthur W. Forney and Peter Jankowski serving as executive producers. Fred Berner will direct. As with “FBI,” the spinoff will be a co-production between Universal Television and CBS Television Studios. Wolf has an overall deal with Universal TV, which produces his “Chicago” franchise and “Law & Order: SVU” for NBC.
Deadline first reported the news of de la Garza’s casting.
