Syfy released a new trailer for the “Superman” prequel series “Krypton” on Tuesday.
The series, set two generations before the destruction of the legendary Man of Steel’s home planet, “Krypton” will follow Superman’s grandfather Seg-El (Cameron Cuffe) — whose House of El was ostracized and shamed — as he fights to redeem his family’s honor and save his beloved world from chaos.
The new trailer also gives a first look at Adam Strange (Shaun Sipos), the time traveler from Earth who comes to warn Krypton about its impending destruction.
Faced with the threat of a time traveling adversary, Seg-El finds himself with a tough decision – save his planet or let it be destroyed in order to ensure his future grandson will become “the greatest hero of the universe.”
The drama from Warner Horizon Scripted Television and DC Entertainment is executive produced by David S. Goyer through his Phantom Four banner and showrunner Cameron Welsh. Blake Ritson, Georgina Campbell, Elliot Cowan, Ann Ogbomo, Rasmus Hardiker, Wallis Day, Aaron Pierre and Ian McElhinney also star.
“Krypton” will premiere March 21 on Syfy.
