The beautiful first trailer for “Woodshock” has dropped, in which Kirsten Dunst spirals out of control after a profound loss.
“Remember when we used to play in the woods together? I got lost that one summer. When I turned around, you were gone,” Dunst’s character, Theresa, says in the trailer.
The trailer is absolutely gorgeous and hypnotic as we watch Dunst try to deal with her emotions and crippling paranoia with the help of a cannabinoid drug.
“What did you do Theresa? What did you do?,” someone says to Theresa in the trailer.
“Woodshock” marks the directorial debut of sisters Kate and Laura Mulleavy, two friends of Dunst who founded the fashion label Rodarte.
Dunst will also next be seen in Sofia Coppola’s “The Beguiled” alongside Nicole Kidman and Colin Farrell. She will also make her directorial debut with “The Bell Jar.” Her recent credits include “Hidden Figures” and “Midnight Special.”
A24 opens “Woodshock” on September 15.
