Jimmy Kimmel did discuss the ongoing saga with Donald Trump’s immigration policies during his monologue on Thursday’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” but first he wanted to make fun of Trump for the rally that he held in Minnesota this week.

“President Trump is back on the campaign trail. He had a rally slash one-man show in Duluth, Minnesota last night,” Kimmel said. “It’s good for him. Whenever he’s feeling down, he gets a bunch of white people together to watch him scream about CNN. It was an hour-long tirade/hissy fit. He played all the hits. He did ‘Crooked Hillary,’ ‘MS-13,’ ‘Space Force,’ ‘Lock Her Up.’ and there was some new material too.

“He’s now calling the Russia Witch Hunt investigation a scam. It’s a scam now. He says if this scam gets any bigger, they’re gonna have to start calling it Trump University.”

Kimmel then had to take some shots at Trump for one of the weirder things he says at his rallies.

“This was good. Right in the middle of the speech, right in the middle of this crazy speech, he paused to take a minute to soak it all in and appreciate,” Kimmel said, before playing a clip in which Trump asked the crowd, “Is there anything more fun than a Trump rally?”

One would think that any leisure activity would be more fun than any political rally for most people, but Kimmel took exception to the idea of a Trump rally in particular somehow being the most fun thing Trump can imaging.

“Good question. Let’s see. Is there anything more fun than a Trump rally?” Kimmel wondered before listing off some things that are, in fact, more fun.

“Off the top of my head, I’d say: non-consensual colonoscopy, mesothelioma, driving a station wagon filled with wasps, a rattlesnake, maybe sharing a sleeping bag with Bill Cosby. I don’t know. Those are just a few.”

The last time Trump asked that question at a rally, Jimmy Fallon over on “The Tonight Show” put together a far more thorough list of things more fun than a Trump rally, and you can check that out here.

Kimmel continued by trying to figure out what the point of all this even was.

“Why is he even out there? Why is he in Duluth? Is he the president or a rally monkey? What’s going on?” Kimmel asked. “And of course, no gathering of the Trumpalos would be complete without a mention of crowd size. Trump tweeted this photo —  ‘So sorry, people wanting to get into the already packed arena earlier this evening – I LOVE YOU ALL!’ ”

That’s when Kimmel figured it out.

“This has nothing to do with loving any of them and everything to do with ‘Look how many people came out to see me! Wasn’t it a lot?’ ”
