Oh dear; it appears that Kim Kardashian might be the latest victim of the loosey-goosey use of “literally.”
The reality TV sensation took to Twitter on Monday night to lament the lack of television programming that’s to her liking, only to be reminded of her own presence on TV.
“Too many people have suggested Handmaid’s Tale,” Kardashian lamented. “I think I’m gonna start watching it. There’s literally nothing on TV that I like.”
Kardashian’s tweet prompted plenty of viewing suggestions, such as “Killing Eve” (suggested by Kathy Griffin), “Doctor Foster,” the HBO offering “Insecure” … and a program that might ring a bell for Kardashian.
“Keeping up with the kardashians is decent,” read one reply.
Which was followed by another response declaring, “It’s not….,” which resulted in a barrage of memes, which is beside the point, but still amusing.
True, Kim will have to wait until Aug. 5 for the Season 15 premiere of “Keeping Up.” (It’s on E!, if her memory needs a nudge.) But there are always reruns; according to E!’s schedule, there’s no shortage of programming featuring Kardashian and her krew airing today.
If not, then sure; you could do worse than curling up with “Handmaid’s Tale” — especially now that there are appropriate beverages to go along with the viewing experience.
