‘Modern Family’ Star Defends Kim Kardashian From ‘Body Shaming’

“Modern Family” star Ariel Winter came to the defense of the perpetually naked Kim Kardashian on Tuesday, as the reality TV star was getting mixed online reactions out of her latest nude selfie.

“No one was body shaming @justinbieber when he posted his nude guitar photo so why @KimKardashian? #herbodyherchoice #InternationalWomensDay,” Winter posted on Twitter.

“I think everyone, men and women, should have the right to choose what they do with their bodies — and not be criticized,” she added.

Winter may have more insight than most on the subject of body shaming. The 18-year-old sitcom star recently underwent breast reduction surgery.

But not everyone has been as understanding as the ABC actress.

Chloe Grace Moretz and Bette Midler fired shots at the Kardashian clan leader over her decision to post a full-frontal bathroom selfie (save some strategically placed black bars).

Singer P!nk also thought the visual play was a bit desperate. Here’s a statement she recently posted to Twitter:

“Shout out to all of the women, across the world, using their brains, their strength, their work ethic, their talent, their “magic” that they were born with, that only they possess. It may not ever bring you as much ‘attention’ or bank notes as using your body, your sex, your tits and asses, but women like you don’t need that kind of ‘attention’. In the quiet moments, you will feel something deeper than the fleeting excitement resulting from attention, you will feel something called pride and self respect. Keep on resisting the urge to cave. You’ll never have to make silly excuses for yourself. #internationalwomensday #bestrong”
