Kim Kardashian was subjected to some sick burns via Twitter on Wednesday, after reportedly calling the flu an “amazing diet.”
In a tweet that has since been deleted but was preserved by TMZ, the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star boasted of dropping weight after coming down ill.
“The flu can be an amazing diet. So happy it came in time for the Met lol,” Kardashian tweeted Tuesday, adding the hashtag “#6lbsdown.”
Weight loss aside, Kardashian came in for some pretty heavy criticism for seeming to advocate a potentially deadly illness.
“@KimKardashian People also die, from the flu…but glad you feeling better,” one member of the Twitterati wrote.
“@KimKardashian maybe don’t glamorize sickness for weight loss,” another weighed in.
One bewildered response asked, “Is she seriously advocating young girls to get the flu?”
“@KimKardashian Now imagine saying that to your daughter after she gets sick…,” another offered.
“@KimKardashian promoting sickness is not OK!” went another response.
It’d be hard to blame Kardashian if she felt like crawling back into bed right about now.
