AMC canceled “The Killing” after its second season, but the series was brought back to life after Netflix made a deal that allowed AMC to air a third. The drama was canceled from cable after that season, but Netflix picked up six episodes to conclude the story.

Based on the Danish series “Forbrydelsen,” “The Killing” follows various murder investigations led by homicide detectives Sarah Linden (Mireille Enos) and Stephen Holder (Joel Kinnaman).
