AMC's mystery drama "The Killing" averaged 2.6 million viewers Sunday, down only slightly from the 2.7 it averaged for its two-hour premiere a week ago.
That retention becomes a lot more impressive considering that last week's two-hour premiere garnered the second-highest ratings for an original series in the channel's history, behind only "The Walking Dead," which garnered a 3.7 household rating for AMC.
The series, which is based on the Danish television series "Forbrydelsen" ("The Crime"), stars Mirielle Enos as Sarah Linden, a homicide detective investigating the murder of a young girl in Seattle.
