Kiefer Sutherland Series ‘Touch’ Picked Up for 13 Episodes by Fox

Danny Glover will co-star in the Tim Kring-produced drama

Kiefer Sutherland is officially coming back to Fox.

The former "24" star's pilot, "Touch" has been picked up for 13 episodes and will premiere in spring 2012, the network announced Thursday.

The series, which is produced by "Heroes" creator Tim Kring, stars Sutherland as widower and single father Martin Bohm, who struggles to communicate with his mute 11-year-old son. Though the help of a social worker, Bohm discovers that Jake has an extraordinary ability to see what others can't and find patterns in seemingly unrelated events.

Danny Glover co-stars as a professor specializing in children who has his own extraordinary power.

"Every once in a while, you encounter a piece of material that you just cannot say no to,” Sutherland said of the series. “That, combined with the opportunity to work again with Peter Chernin and the Fox studio and network, makes me thrilled to be a part of this project. I also look forward to working with an extraordinary writer and producer like Tim Kring."
