The first trailer for "Kick-Ass 2" is out, giving fans of the original the first glimpse of Jim Carrey bringing the pain as Colonel Stars and Stripes.
The military-inspired, self-made superhero joins the titular costumed crime fighter, Kick-Ass (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and his 15-year-old partner, Hit-Girl (Chloë Grace Moretz), in a battle against rich-kid-turned-super-villain, The Mother F—er (Christopher Mintz-Plasse).

Remember, the trailer is red band — meaning it's intended for mature audiences only — so there is plenty more profanity to follow.
"Kick-Ass 2", a sequel to Matthew Vaughn's 2010 superhero action-comedy, is directed by Jeff Wadlow and will hit theaters on Aug. 16.
