Kevin Hart to Launch Series ‘Stories With Kev’ Based on His Stand-Up Routines (Exclusive)

Woody McClain plays Hart in digital show premiering Sept. 29 on Laugh Out Loud

Kevin Hart is giving new life to his most iconic stand-up skits and experiences with “Stories With Kev,” TheWrap can exclusively announce.

The new digital series features audio of Hart’s classic routines, with Woody McClain (“The New Edition Story”) acting them out as Hart. McClain created the project and also executive produces.

It premieres Sept. 29 on Laugh Out Loud Network, the streaming video service from Hart and Lionsgate.

“I’m excited to premiere this hilarious new Laugh Out Loud series that brings some of my most memorable stand up stories to life in a whole new light,” said Hart. “I’ve witnessed Woody’s amazing talent first hand and can’t wait for our Laugh Out Loud community to watch him in ‘Stories with Kev.’”

McClain signed with Hart’s production company, HartBeat Digital, in December 2015 after his take on the comedy superstar’s “Permission to Cuss” skit went viral.

“Kevin Hart has created a platform for fresh up-and-coming comedians and comedic actors to showcase their talents. I’m extremely honored to work with him and his team to produce some amazing content that will hopefully grab the public’s attention and move the platform forward,” said McClain.
