Lionsgate’s Kevin Beggs Named Chairman of International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences

Bruce Tuchman will take over as treasurer following Beggs’ appointment

Kevin Beggs, Lionsgate TV Group chair and chief creative officer, has been tapped Chairman of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, it was announced Thursday by president and CEO Bruce L. Paisner.

Beggs takes over the position from Fred Cohen, who is stepping down but will remain as foundation chairman and executive committee member.

Bruce Tuchman, who currently serves as secretary, will succeed Beggs as treasurer of the Academy.

“Kevin is a highly regarded industry leader who has been deeply involved in the activities of the International Academy since he joined the Executive Committee in 2009 and we are delighted he is now taking on the Chairmanship,” Paisner said in a statement.
