Wendy Williams joined Team Kesha in wake of the singer’s claim that she had been offered contractual freedom if she recanted her sexual abuse allegations against Lukasz “Dr. Luke” Gottwald.

“Kesha, I want to A, apologize to you and B, you’re a hell of a woman,” Williams said on her show Monday.

“Remember the day we were talking about that story and I said, ‘Well, there’s two sides to every story’ and you all were like ‘Well, wait Wendy, when a woman says rape, you better believe it’s rape.’ Well, no, you know what, unfortunately a lot of people lie about rape so I was just being skeptical, that’s what I do,” Williams continued. “I wasn’t sure, but I’m also woman enough to say ‘damn, Kesha, I apologize.’… I don’t think a lot of women could rise to the occasion the way you did, Kesha, you keep going.”

In February, Williams called a New York Supreme Court judge’s ruling in favor of Sony and Gottwald “fair,” because “business is business.”

“If everybody complained because somebody allegedly sexually abused them… contracts would be broken all the time,” Williams said. “Kesha’s no spring chicken. I mean she’s like, 30 years old?… So she wasn’t stupid 10 years ago and neither was her mother when the sexual abuse — alleged sexual abuse — started, why weren’t they rolling camera on it?”

Kesha has filed an appeal in her lawsuit against her label and the producer she claims sexually abused her, and vowed Sunday to “not take back the truth.”

“I got offered my freedom IF i were to lie. I would have to APOLOGIZE publicly and say that I never got raped,” Kesha wrote on her Instagram. “THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS behind closed doors. I will not take back the TRUTH. I would rather let the truth ruin my career than lie for a monster ever again.”

Gottwald, meanwhile, is sticking to his story that the singer’s allegations are false.

“The Court repeatedly stated Kesha is already free to record without Dr. Luke, and that she had not presented any facts supporting her claims. That’s because all the evidence — including Kesha’s own videotaped sworn testimony — show her allegations are false,” Gottwald’s rep said in a statement. “We look forward to our day in court holding Kesha accountable for her lies.”
