The man Kenya Moore thought was a godsend has turned out to be her match from hell.
“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star appeared on an episode of Bravo’s “The Millionaire Matchmaker” two months ago and met her TV match, James.
The former Miss USA was so thrilled about dating the handsome business executive that she posted a photo of the two on her Instragram page after the episode aired in March. She included a heartfelt caption thanking Bravo matchmaker Patti Stanger and fellow Real Housewife Cynthia Bailey, who helped her narrow down the field of men.
“Sometimes you can spend your whole life looking for Prince Charming when a King arrives,” she wrote. “Thank you @PattiStanger and @CynthiaBailey10 and my fans for your love and support and desire for my happiness.”
But Kenya’s fairy tale turned out to be a nightmare. On Tuesday, the heartbroken reality star posted a statement on Instagram revealing James married another woman a week after the show aired. Adding insult to injury, she found out on social media.
“Unfortunately, I just learned today that the man I met and fell in love with from ‘Millionaire Matchmaker’ was married a week after the show aired,” she wrote. “I am astounded and devastated to have learned of this news VIA social media as opposed to from him directly.”
Bravo did not immediately return TheWrap’s request for comment.
