"Chase" veteran Kelli Giddish and "Cold Case" actor Danny Pino have signed on as regulars for "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," NBC announced on Monday. The two will play detectives on the series.
The series, which is going into its 13th season, has been in a state of flux recently, with Christopher Meloni departing the show and Mariska Hargitay taking on a diminished role in the program.

“Kelli and Danny are two great actors who will join a proven cast headed by Mariska Hargitay as this exceptional series heads into a very promising 13th season,” said NBC Entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt.
Giddish (pictured) most recently starred as U.S Marshall Annie Frost on the NBC drama "Chase." Pino, who played senior detective Scotty Valens for 7 years on "Cold Case," has also guest-starred on "The Shield" and "Burn Notice."
Series creator Dick Wolf said that Pino and Giddish "will give us the opportunity to explore the world of ‘SVU’ with new eyes.”
