With those elfin features and popular hairdo, Keira Knightley has often been called a pixie.
That tag will only become more fitting now that the Oscar-nominated actress has signed on to provide the voice of the magical faerie Tinker Bell in "Neverland," Syfy's upcoming four-hour miniseries.
Written and directed by Nick Willing, who also helmed the network's 2009 miniseries "Alice" (based on "Alice in Wonderland"), "Neverland" will be a live-action prequel to J.M. Barrie's "Peter Pan."
Knightley joins previously announced cast members Rhys Ifans, Anna Friel and Bob Hoskins — a solid list of names that indicates that when Syfy wishes upon a star, it actually gets them.
The miniseries will air in December.
