"Generation Um" gave Keanu Reeves some practice behind the camera ahead of directing his first film, "Man of Tai Chi."

While gallivanting around New York City in a station wagon and recording their conversations, the three friends' relationship takes "an unexpected and intimate turn that could change their lives."

"Generation Um," Reeves' first acting gig since 2010's "Henry's Crime," lands in theaters on May 3.
