Step aside, Taylor Swift.
Katy Perry just became the first person to eclipse 100 million followers on Twitter.
The 32-year-old singer was congratulated by the social media platform with a video retrospective of her time on Twitter earlier today.

Perry launched her first tweet in February 2009 — or, about a year after she released “I Kissed a Girl.” She narrowly beat Justin Bieber — who has nearly 97 million followers — to the milestone. And the “Witness” singer left frienemy Taylor Swift and her paltry 85 million followers in the dust.
With a mountain of projects coming up, expect Perry to add a few more followers as well. She’ll be touring to support her latest album starting in September, and she’s set to join ABC’s relaunch of “American Idol.”
