Hillary Clinton has added another weapon to her campaign arsenal — Katy Perry.
The “Roar” singer joined the Democratic presidential frontrunner and husband Bill Clinton Saturday at a campaign rally in Des Moines, Iowa.
“You’re gonna hear us roar to 2016 and beyond!” Perry told the crowd, adding, “I stand and I march with Hillary. I believe in her future.”
Former President Clinton headlined the event and introduced Perry.
“I don’t want to talk long… I’m well-aware I’m the warm-up act,” he joked, according to the Des Moines Register.
Perry showed her patriotism by wearing a form-fitting white gown, accepted with an American flag cape and a Hillary pin. After taking the stage, she launched into a 20-minute set that included “America the Beautiful,” “Firework” and “Wide Awake.”
After Perry ended her mini-concert, she was joined on stage by Hillary.
“Sometimes it’s important, you just have to roar about what you need to fight for,” the former secretary of state said, referencing Perry’s single which is regularly played at her campaign events.
She added: “We’ve got to build on the progress that President Obama made and not let the Republicans rip it away.”
