Jackie Chan plays the wise martial arts teacher this time around, and Jaden Smith the reluctant student, in upcoming Columbia Pictures release "The Karate Kid."
Harald Zwart ("Agent Cody Banks") directs the remake of the 1984 favorite, which spawned a couple of sequels itself.
