If Steve Jobs’ death left you fearing for the future of American innovation, fear not, Kanye West has come to the rescue.
West staged an epic Twitter rant on Wednesday night, posting from London starting around 4 a.m. London time (8 p.m. PT), touting his new project – DONDA, named for his mother.
West wants to "take what Michael Jackson felt and Mcqueen and Steve Jobs" and make things better. (Steve or Alexander? Who knows).
What will it do?
“DONDA is a design company which will galvanize amazing thinkers and put them in a creative space to bounce there dreams and ideas…”
West tweeted that he wants to “help simplify and aesthetically improve everything we see hear, touch, taste and feel." He’d like to design the MTV awards, is developing a “7 screen experience” and is working on a project called the “2016 OLYMPIC’s.”

Who will be a part of DONDA?
More than 22 divisions with a “goal to make products and experiences that people want and can afford.”
West wants to put creatives in a room with minds “waaaay doper” than his own – architects, graphic designers, directors, musicians, producers, A&R guys, writers, publicists, social media experts, actors, scientists, teachers, bankers, laywers, video game designers, publishers, clothing desigbers, DJs, car designers, managers, app guys, tech guys and…nutritionists.
But don’t be fooled, ‘Ye is aiming not just for creativity but a global civic impact, fixing “broken systems” like the economy, the schools and the jails.
He wants to promote iPhone usage in school and said he has been working on a new summer school curriculum with Spike Jonze.

If that weren't enough evidence of his lofty aspirations, he quoted George Bernard Shaw and Leonardo Da Vinci in separate posts a few hours apart. Da Vinci before the feverish posting began and Shaw as the curtains. As always, aiming high.
While West was focused on DONDA, he also offered “clarity” on a few other topics.
For one, he has no representation right now. His agent, Cara Lewis, left William Morris for CAA, but West says he has “no agency representing” him while also tweeting “I Love Cara Lewis.”
He also seems a bit jealous of Dr. Dre, whose Beats headphones “made more impact” than his blogging did.
Best of all, the star rapper/producer who released two major albums this past year is still unsure about the Grammies.
“I appreciate having the most nominations at the Grammies but I feel so conflicted by the fact that award shows sometimes are completely…
“illogical.”
