Justine Sacco, the publicist who was fired after making an offensive AIDS joke on Twitter, has officially landed at the newly resurrected Hot or Not, TheWrap has confirmed.

Sacco will assist with the marketing and promotion of Hot or Not’s relaunch. The newly revived service will function as a location-based app to vote on attractive people in your proximity.

“I can confirm that she is engaged as Head of PR for Hot or Not,” Michelle Kennedy, director and general counsel of Badoo, Hot or Not’s parent company, told TheWrap.

Sacco formerly worked as the communications director of IAC — the parent company of Daily Beast, OKCupid and College Humor — before she was fired in December following the uproar of her tweet, “Going to Africa. Hope I don’t get AIDS. Just Kidding. I’m white!”

Following her tweet, Sacco went on a long international flight, during which time social media exploded in outrage, creating the hashtag #HasJustineLandedYet?

After she landed, she was fired from Barry Diller-owned IAC.

“The offensive comment does not reflect the views and values of IAC,” the company wrote. “We take this issue very seriously, and we have parted ways with the employee in question. There is no excuse for the hateful statements that have been made and we condemn them unequivocally.”

Since the incident, Sacco reportedly volunteered in Ethiopia in March as a “volunteer consultant” for an NGO.
