Justin Bieber Roast: 5 of the Pop Star’s Snappiest Comebacks to His ‘Haters’

The “Believe” singer threw some punches of his own after jabs from Kevin Hart, Natasha Leggero, Snoop Dogg

Justin Bieber was a great sport at Saturday’s Comedy Central roast, but the pop star didn’t hold back in flexing some comedy muscles of his own.

Each year, roastees are given a chance for rebuttal at the end of the show, and Bieber returned shots to folks like Kevin Hart, Natasha Leggero and comedians Chris D’Elia and Hannibal Buress.

While the roast dais, which also included Ludacris, Martha Stewart, “SNL’s” Pete Davidson, and Jeff Ross, targeted Bieber greatest hits like his trouble with the law, personal style and ex-lovers, Bieber dished it out as as well as he took it. Among the best Bieber comebacks are …

1. On Ross: “I’ve been driving recklessly, smoking weed, abandoning monkeys and urinating publicly — actually, that last one was kind of cool. But my biggest regret is plowing my Maserati into Jeff Ross‘ Saturn in the parking lot. I’m feeling really bad, because I don’t even know where you’re going to sleep tonight, man.”

2. On tapping Hart as Roastmaster General: “When we were looking for a roast master, we called Jamie Foxx and Chris Rock, they both couldn’t do it. Then I had a great idea, let’s call Kevin Hart — and see if he has Dave Chapelle’s number.”

3. On getting pulled on stage at LA’s Laugh Factory by D’Elia during a stand-up routine: “It was the first time I got to perform for eight people staring at their phones.”

4. On his appreciation of Ludacris: “Luda… I knew you would show up for me tonight. I feel like I’ve known you my whole life, but that’s just because you look like the Mr. Potato Head I had as a kid.”

5. On how Buress can raise his profile: “Hannibal, I’d like to offer you some career advice: act blacker, it works for me.”

Honorable Mention:

In welcoming Martha Stewart: “Martha — so happy you could come — which is something you don’t do much of these days.”

The “Comedy Central Roast of Justin Bieber” airs Mar. 30 at 10 p.m.
