Justin Bieber was purportedly involved in a car accident Tuesday afternoon in Beverly Hills.
“A collision occurred around two p.m.,” Sergeant Smollen of the Beverly Hills Police Department told TheWrap. “Justin Bieber may have been a passenger. [There were] no injuries.”

According to TMZ, Bieber was a passenger in a Cadillac Escalade, which was driving fast to avoid persistent paparazzi in another vehicle. The accident allegedly occurred when a third vehicle, a BMW, pulled out quickly from a parking structure nearby and struck the SUV containing Bieber.
The “Boyfriend” singer exited the Escalade and left the scene in another car, according to media reports. As he was purportedly a passenger in the vehicle that was struck, leaving the scene of the accident would not be an illegal action.
Sgt. Smollen did tell TheWrap that “information was exchanged,” but did not indicate if Bieber was involved in this exchange.

Bieber allegedly wasn’t behind the wheel when this accident occurred, and there is no indication his vehicle was in any way at fault, but the 20-year-old pop star has been involved in vehicular-related mishaps before. On January 23, he was arrested in Florida for DUI, but those charges were later dropped as part of a plea deal.
