Justin Bieber, who deleted his Instagram account back in August, told London concert goers that he’s “90 percent sure” that the social media platform is “for the devil.”
In a video shot by a fan during his “Purpose” concert in London, the “Sorry” singer can be heard asking the audience, “Who thinks I should get my Instagram back?”
However, he said, “I don’t want to get my Instagram back. Instagram is for the devil … I’m sure … I think hell is Instagram. I’m 90 percent sure. We get sent to hell, we get like locked in the Instagram server.”
The show in London was Bieber’s final date on the European leg of his tour. The pop star told the audience that he wasn’t sure what he was going to do when he got home — maybe take some photos for Instagram, but not upload them.
In August, Bieber said he would shutter the social media account after fans started piling hate on pictures of his then-girlfriend, 17-year old model Sofia Richie.
The 22-year-old has been making headlines throughout his tour. Last month, Bieber dropped his mic during a concert in Manchester, England and walked off stage because his fans were screaming too much, prohibiting from speaking to them without interruption.
Before that, Bieber was speaking to another crowd of screaming fans in Manchester, but to his disappointment, they didn’t want to hear his heartfelt speech about the meaning behind “The Purpose Tour,” they were just there to see him perform.
“You can talk if you want,” Bieber said. “If you guys wanna take this moment and — I just thought I could have a moment of, you know, trying to say something. But if not, I’ll just get to singing, if you don’t want to hear me speak.”
And earlier this year, he announced that he would no longer be taking pictures with fans because he felt like a “zoo animal.”
“If you happen to see me out somewhere know that I’m not gonna take a picture I’m done taking pictures,” Bieber wrote on his Instagram. “It has gotten to the point that people won’t even say hi to me or recognize me as a human, I feel like a zoo animal, and I wanna be able to keep my sanity. I realize people will be disappointed but I don’t owe anybody a picture.”
That announcement came just after the “Sorry” singer said that he would cancel his Purpose tour meet-and-greets because they leave him feeling “drained and unhappy.”
