The final trailer for DC Comics’ “Justice League” finally teased the return of Superman (Henry Cavill), the key superhero who’s been notably absent from previous teasers of the new movie.
Directed by Zack Snyder with reshoots helmed by Joss Whedon, “Justice League” hits theaters Nov. 17.
The trailer opens with a flashback of Amy Adam’s Lois Lane on the Kent farm with Henry Cavill’s Clark Kent/Superman in the background.
“I will take that as a yes,” says Kent.
“What,” responds Lane.
“The ring,” says Kent.
Previously in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” Lois Lane received Clark Kent’s engagement ring in the mail after he supposedly perished fighting Doomsday.
“I had a dream,” says Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne. “It was the end of the world.”
Set to a cover of David Bowie’s “Hero,” the action-packed trailer delivers the goods as Batman, Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), The Flash (Ezra Miller), and Aquaman (Jason Momoa) fight the forces of Steppenwolf (Ciaran Hinds) and his horde of Parademons.
The film also stars Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, Amber Heard as Mera, J.K. Simmons as Jim Gordon and Kiersey Clemons as Iris West. Julian Lewis Jones and Willem Dafoe are also set to appear.
