‘Jurassic World 2’ Teaser: Bryce Dallas Howard Isn’t Wearing Heels This Time Around (Video)

In the 2015 film, Howard’s character scampered around in high heels and a skirt

Universal has dropped a teaser for “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom,” and this time around, Bryce Dallas Howard isn’t wearing heels to run away from the dangerous dinosaurs.

In the teaser for the trailer which will drop Thursday, dinosaur whisperer Owen (Chris Pratt) can be seen running away from massive explosions in the background and toward theme park exec Claire (Howard). They then hide from a commotion, with dinosaurs all around them.

In the first film in the rebooted franchise, Howard’s character would trek through the jungle in high heels and a skirt.

Her outfit caused a noted reaction among critics and fans when the movie hit screens in 2015. The actress seems to have gotten a serious shoe upgrade for the sequel, though.

The upcoming film, set for a release on June 22, 2018, will be directed by J. A. Bayona. Steven Spielberg and “Jurassic World” director Colin Trevorrow will executive produce the new movie.

Trevorrow’s “Jurassic World” counts as the second highest-grossing opening weekend of all time domestically, behind “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” Internationally, it comes in third after “The Fate of the Furious” and “The Force Awakens.”

The film has made $1.67 billion at the worldwide box office, passing “Marvel’s The Avengers” to become the fourth-highest-grossing movie in history.

Jeff Goldblum, BD Wong and James Cromwell also star.
