Julianne Moore has been inaugurated as President Alma Coin in “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Parts 1 & 2,” Lionsgate announced Friday, confirming early negotiations with the actress that TheWrap previously reported in June.
Francis Lawrence will direct the final installments of the franchise, which kicked off last year to the tune of nearly $700 million worldwide and launched Jennifer Lawrence to superstardom in the role of Katniss Everdeen. The first sequel, “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire,” opens worldwide Nov. 22.

Moore will the leader of the rebellion against the Capitol in the third and fourth installments of the young-adult juggernaut, which hit November 2014 and November 2015, respectively.
