Julia Roberts has been named People Magazine’s Most Beautiful Woman for a record fifth time.
The magazine revealed the news in its cover story on Wednesday, which also included an interview with the 49-year-old star.
“I am very flattered,” she told People’s editor-in-chief Jess Cagle.
Roberts first appeared on the cover of the World’s Most Beautiful issue in 1991, just after starring in “Pretty Woman” with Richard Gere and skyrocketing to fame. She was 23.
She had already broken the record back in 2010 when she graced the cover for the fourth time. She also appeared on the cover in 2000 and 2005.
Folks had mixed reactions on the news. Some said Roberts hadn’t been working enough recently to gain the honor (she is currently busy raising three children). Her last appearance in a film was as a voice in “Smurfs: The Lost Village” and before that, “Money Monster.”
Others weren’t too keen on the idea of the award still existing. For example, clearly People mostly draws from an American pool of celebrities, so stating that they’re the most beautiful in the “world” isn’t technically correct.
You can check out some reactions below.
Julia Roberts is beautiful, but I always thought People's Most Beautiful title was about career heat. Was SMURFS: THE LOST VILLAGE that big?

The time machine initiative is going to have to do better than Julia Roberts being named People's most beautiful woman, but "E" for effort!
