Josh Elliott is parting ways with NBC Sports after less than two years.
Elliott previously served as one of the co-anchors on ABC’s “Good Morning America,” before leaving the network to join NBC Sports in 2014.
“I’m grateful for the chance to work with the remarkable team at NBC Sports, and appreciate their support as I look forward to what’s next,” Elliott said in a statement from his publicist.
“Josh and NBC Sports mutually decided to part ways, and we wish him the best of luck in the future,” a spokesperson for NBC Sports told TheWrap Wednesday.
No announcements have been made regarding Elliott’s future, or where he will end up.
He made his NBC debut with the 2014 Kentucky Derby after the expiration of the non-compete clause in his contract with ABC. He went on to become a correspondent on “Football Night America” and occasional fill-in anchor on “Today.”
“This has been a very rewarding year and a great reminder that you never know what’s around the next bend,” Elliott told TheWrap of the jump back in March.
NBC Sports chairman Mark Lazarus told TheWrap in September that the Elliott’s future with NBC was still undetermined, but “the relationship that he has and had with the Sports division was very positive for both sides, I believe.”
Elliott’s previously served as a co-anchor on “ESPN News” and “SportsCenter,” as well as contributor for ESPN the Magazine and ESPN.com.
