Jon Stewart wasn't completely impressed by President Obama's visit to "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon."
The president's "Slow Jam the News" segment Tuesday reminded Stewart — and many others — of Bill Clinton's sax-accompanied "Arsenio Hall Show" appearance in 1992. But the difference is that Clinton was a candidate trying to connect with voters in a fresh way, and Obama is a sitting commander-in-chief.
"Mr. President, you're the president," Stewart said on "The Daily Show" Wednesday. "You don't have to do this shit anymore."
It may have been a tiny bit of sour grapes that Fallon landed Obama as a guest: Stewart also noted that, critique aside, he'd love to have Obama back on "The Daily Show."
