"Pirates of the Caribbean" star Depp has launched a new book imprint with HarperCollins, titled Infinitum Nihil (which is also the name of Depp's production company).

The series "will be a home for authentic, outspoken, and visionary ideas and voices, from authors both celebrated and unsung," HarperCollins said in a statement Monday.

“I pledge, on behalf of Infinitum Nihil, that we will do our best to deliver publications worthy of peoples’ time, of peoples’ concern," Depp said of the venture. "Publications that might ordinarily never have breached the parapet. For this dream realized, we would like to salute HarperCollins for their faith in us and look forward to a long and fruitful relationship together.”

The flagship title in the series will be "The Unraveled Tales of Bob Dylan" by "Cronkite" author Douglas Brinkley. Drawing from archival research and exclusive interviews with the "Blowin' In the Wind" singer, the book "will set the record straight on scores of issues pertaining to the rock-and-roll legend," HarperCollins said. The title is tentatively scheduled to be published in 2015.

Also in the works for Infinitum Nihil: a novel written by folk singer Woody Guthrie, which was completed in 1947 but was never published. The novel, which delves into private citizens' struggles with banks and corporate interests, will include an essay from Brinkley and Depp. It is slated for a January 2013 release.
