“Trial & Error” will head to court again for a second season.
The NBC comedy starring John Lithgow has been renewed for a 10-episode sophomore run, the network said Saturday.
The series, which also features Nicholas D’Agosto, Sherri Shepherd, Jayma Mays, Steven Boyer and Krysta Rodriguez, stars D’Agosto as New York lawyer Josh Segal, who heads to a tiny Southern town for his first big case. His mission? To defend an eccentric, “rollercizing” poetry professor (Lithgow) accused of the bizarre murder of his beloved wife.
In its first season, the series averaged a 1.3 rating in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and 5.5 million viewers in Live Plus 7 Day numbers.
