Like a huge number of people lately, Jimmy Kimmel was delighted that Elon Musk is not only trashing his brand via his unconstitutional dismantling of the U.S. government and wrecking of the economy, he’s also harming his own bottom line.

So it is in his monologue he celebrated how badly Musk has messed things up, joking after he explained that sales of cars made by Musk’s Tesla are plummeting and his net work has dropped by billions over the last few days.

“He may have to fire himself. Things are going so poorly,” Kimmel said. “This is not a good time to own a Tesla vehicle. There have been a lot of reports of angry Americans vandalizing Teslas, vandalizing charging stations, attacking the showroom.”

“So much so that President Trump today took it upon himself to announce he will be buying a Tesla, even though he’s not allowed to drive a car,” Kimmel continued, deadpanning that this will probably have the same impact on Tesla’s overall sales that buying a single Kazoo would for Party City.

Kimmel then mocked Trump for pretending to be a supporter of electric cars, even though he’s long been an opponent of them, joking, “he flip flops from zero to sixty in under 5 seconds. It’s really a thing of beauty. What a twist. The guy who spent the entire campaign screaming about how awful electric cars are, is now buying an electric car!”

He then made fun of the moment Trump mispronounced Tesla’s name as “Tessler,” joking, “Tesler – rhymes with his daughter’s name, Ivanker. You know?”

“Watching Donald Trump – check out a Tesla – was like watching a monkey with an iPad,” Kimmel continued, at which point he mocked the moment Trump, talking about a Tesla, said “everything’s computer.”

After noting that Trump, during this shameful White House spectacle, appeared to be reading from a sales pitch provided to him by Elon Musk, Kimmel declared, “he’s finally turned into the used car salesman we all knew he was all along. And the idea, just the idea that we all now have to dig deep to help the richest man in the world who’s down to his last $324 billion sell cars is preposterous.”
