Jimmy Kimmel keeps taking his fellow entertainers down a peg. The ABC late-night host made musicians read “Mean Tweets” on Tuesday, timed to the night’s American Music Awards (AMAs).
Towards the tail-end of the regular bit, “Jimmy Kimmel Live” viewers find out that even metal band Korn can’t stand rockers Nickelback.
“Korn. F–k those guys more than nickelback,” one “Mean Tweet” read.
The Korn boys all cringed at that one.
“That’s low, dog,” one said.
“Ouch,” another added.
Pretty good, but the below are our favorites. Each was read by their respective insulted musician(s):
“One of my employees was talking about how the chainsmokers are actually pretty good and don’t deserve all the hate. So I fired him.”
“Why is Jason Mraz the unofficial soundtrack for s–t BBQs?”
“P!ink is aging pretty well for a pig.”
Also tortured in the segment are Gwen Stefani, Tyga, Imagine Dragons, Halsey, Luke Bryan, Jason Derulo, Dua Lipa, The Strokes, Pink, Elvis Costello, ScHoolboyQ, G-Eazy, Luke Combs, and Nickelback themselves.
