Jimmy Fallon Recreates ‘Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ Title Sequence With Alfonso Ribeiro (Video)

DJ Jazzy Jeff makes a cameo appearance as the cab driver who takes Fallon and the show to Los Angeles

Jimmy Fallon packed up “The Tonight Show” and moved it across the country, and he did it in style. In fact, he did it “Fresh Prince” style.

On his first episode of “The Tonight Show” in Los Angeles — he broadcast a special episode from Phoenix after the Super Bowl Sunday — he showed a video detailing how he made the trip to L.A., and it looked a lot like how Will Smith‘s Fresh Prince made his way to Bel-Air back in the 1990s.

In a nearly shot-for-shot remake of the classic “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” title sequence, Fallon rapped about the decision to move his show from cold New York to Los Angeles, and how it went down.

He was seen spray painting the walls and playing hoops with The Roots. DJ Jazzy Jeff even showed up as the cab driver taking him across the country, while Alfonso Ribeiro dropped in briefly to show him how to do “The Carlton.”

“The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. ET on NBC.
