UFC fans are burning over a report that outspoken sportstalk radio host Jim Rome is in talks to replace Mike Goldberg as the mixed-martial-arts league’s lead broadcaster.
FloSports managing editor and former Bleacher Report MMA writer Jeremy Botter said on Twitter that he’s confirmed talks with the former “Rome is Burning” host, which were originally mentioned by former fighter Chael Sonnen on a podcast. Here’s Botter’s tweet:

Company president Dana White told reporters Wednesday that Goldberg’s final fight call will be at pay-per-view UFC 207, which takes place on Friday. The UFC did not immediately respond to TheWrap‘s request for comment on the possibilty of a Rome hire.
